The Farmers Wife

"The Farmers Wife" is the name of the quilt pattern, not the title for Lana

Lana, from Panguitch, pieced this masterpiece. i believe there are approximately 145--- 51/2 inch blocks. i lost track while counting because "on point" makes the math harder for me.

Each block is a different "quilt block" pattern and each pattern has the most extraordinary fabric. None of the fabric repeats itself anywhere else in this quilt. A quilter gets "up close and personal" to a quilt and i fell in love with each and every block. The fabric choices speak to me and i wish i had a fat quarter of every single fabric within.

So, was this quilt "kitted", or was it a block exchange, or do you have all this fabric under lock and key?

Answer: All the fabric came from her stash. Amazing

(when i get a quilt like Lana's that is LABOR INTENSIVE , i want the piecing to show, not the quilting. i prefer my quilting to be "understated" most of the time.)
