Wow Factor

Diane F also pieced this incredible feathered star, cowboy boot quilt. Wow! Possibly for the same newborn as previous entry .

i love feathered stars. It took 3 classes before i could manage just one acceptable block . It is also my husbands favorite block and he wanted a whole quilt made with these stars. He got a pillow instead. i could use that one block as a medallion and get a quilt out of it. Great idea Diane

Diane is one of the fantastic Panguitch quilter's . Others that i know of are Jerilu, Claudia, Lana, MaryLou, Nan, Jan Marie, and more . So...... The "Quilt Walk Festival 2011"-- Registration, will be appearing in about 1 month on the internet .. Just a heads up, Excitment Ahead.

On My Honor

Happy Birthday Boy Scouts... 100 years in 2010
What a great year to attain the rank of Eagle Scout..
Jane's grandson achieved his Eagle Scout rank this year, so she made him a fabulous quilt.. The back looks great too. She pieced a center medallion, using that great fabric on the market right now, with all the boy scout badges. Great quilt Jane.

It's Almost Here (will i make it?)

Jayne pieced this cute tree skirt, and i managed to quilt it only days before Christmas. She made Christmas Stockings for her family to match. so cute, love Riley Blake .
(you cant see it but i quilted holly leaves on it)
.........
(this picture is hilarious. it makes my home look all organized and Christmas-ee.. Big joke.... IT IS STAGED.... Holy cow i can't even get to the bottom of my kitchen table. Every horizontal space in the house has stuff on it. The month of December is always out of control for me, but this one has been particularly bad )

Fabulous Wholecloth

(great idea for an extremely fast quilt)
(yummy Riley Blake)Angie's 5 year old wore out her baby quilt, and her mommy was in a panic to get another .
( just adorable)
my personal believe is--- that the whole purpose of a quilt is to wear it out by loving it.
(loving it to pieces)

Oh So Happy

i'm just sad that it is not mine
This adorable quilt belongs to Diane H
It will be a quilt for the "Birth Mother" of the baby Rachel is adopting very soon.
Last night my 5 yr old granddaughter was spending time with me while her parents went to the new Harry Potter film. She was very tired but wanted to play downstairs for a bit. She saw this quilt and wanted it so much. i said; " it is my friend Diane's" and she just started to sob (she had a melt down) . she said: "but i have to have it , i just have to", and she was so serious .
The fabric is from Henry Glass (love his stuff) and the line is Marabella

Cozy Flannel and Minkee

Diane pieced another yummy Christmas quilt. This time she used flannels and minkee . Perfect to get comfy on a cold winter's night (and day)
interesting how the "holly" design on the border is not distinguishable as holly.
(the negative space is playing a trick here)

Marlaine's Spectacular Snails Trail

i have always loved the "snails trail" quilt block. The half square triangles on this one have been "fussy" cut to give the appearance of vines winding thru a garden. Just gorgeous Marlaine.

Stunning Florals

The Back The FrontKaren used large floral prints to create this stunning king.
***
(back to the learning curve, i should have used the traditional meander on this one. The floral of the fabric fights the floral of the quilting)
Still very beautiful, and the quilting does look much better in real life than in the photo.

When You Don't Have Time

i needed a fast quilt for a friends new grandbaby. Sadly, i never have time to piece any more, but luckily i have a long arm, so i can get it quilted in good time.
So here's a little secret if you are in a pinch.
You can go to a quilt store or JoAnn's and find adoarable already pieced yardage. The price per yard is higher (of course ). The quilt stores have Moda panels, already pieced, and they are fabulous. Less expensive is Joann's with a coupon (not usually as stunning as quilt store yardage, but doable). This is JoAnn's and it is very sweet. This fabric does not photo well and there's not alot of contrast in individual blocks , but,...it's a soft, cuddley quilt and i have minkee on the back. Sweet

Dick and Jane

Diane pieced this adorable "retro" Dick and Jane quilt. She teaches second grade so this quilt is especially near and dear to her heart. Diane and i grew up with Dick and Jane. Luckily i purchased some of this Micheal Miller fabric several years ago, it's cut out and many of the blocks are already finished. It just needs some finishing touches, and then i too, will have a Dick and Jane quilt. Hopefully Diane is not going to give this one away.
